Warzone launches Hajin and Zodiac on November 6 and ends support for PS4 and Xbox One
In short: Season 1, Hajin Conflict, brings a Korea map with 13 points of interest, a new Resurgence zone and full integration with Modern Warfare 4.

Activision has confirmed the details of Season 1 of Call of Duty: Warzone, called Hajin Conflict, which starts on Friday, November 6. The game stays free to play and integrates fully with Modern Warfare 4: a new Battle Royale map, a new Resurgence zone, new gear and a change that will hurt many players: Warzone can no longer be played on PS4 and Xbox One.
Hajin: Warzone comes to Korea for the first time
Hajin is the new Battle Royale map, a large-scale location tied to the Modern Warfare 4 campaign story. Squads fight across South and North Korea over 13 major points of interest: city streets with tall buildings and barricaded roads, open ground such as Imjin Farmland, and across the border places like the 14th Political Prison, Chang-san Air Base and Deadtown.
Changing weather and a new Gulag

Every match can bring clear skies, fog, wind, rain or distant storms, and the developers made sure visibility stays a key factor. The new map also brings a new Gulag in two versions: for the first time you can watch the duel from ground level as a spectator, and you fight 1v1 in the open air to get back into the match.
Zodiac: the compact Resurgence zone
Resurgence gets Zodiac, a small map built around the headquarters of DRC Advanced Systems, a drone factory in South Korea. It has ten points of interest, including Admin, the central administrative tower; Trackline, with a double railway where trains run; and Furnace, an industrial area full of heavy machinery. It was developed by Beenox together with Infinity Ward, the same team behind places like Rebirth Island and Vondel.
What’s new to play

New gear includes the Zipline Launcher, which opens zipline routes, and the Grabber Drone, a remote-controlled drone with a claw. There are also movable fuel barrels, pushable cover, drones that drop buy stations with the new Weapon Augments (per-match weapon upgrades) and Ground Ops, hidden objectives on the map with valuable loot.
At launch there will be Battle Royale and Resurgence (with Casual versions), plus the Rally Point, Massive Resurgence and Loaded Resurgence modes; Extreme Resurgence and Rockets and Snipers arrive mid-season. There are 18 perks in total, 15 you pick before playing and 3 “Elite” ones you find during a match, and a new system, Grind for Royalty, that creates challenges from your own stats and rewards camos every season.
What happens to PS4 and Xbox One
From Season 1, Warzone will no longer be playable on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, because both the game and Modern Warfare 4 are moving on from last-generation hardware. Your progress carries over if you sign in on a supported platform with the same linked Activision account. Player level also resets (with the option to Prestige) and all 33 Modern Warfare 4 launch weapons can be used; weapons from earlier games sit in a “Legacy” tab and cannot be edited in the Gunsmith.

Operators, skins and blueprints from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 will also be available in Warzone. Verdansk returns later in the season, with new landmarks, and Rebirth Island comes back during the season. Season 1 starts at midnight Eastern on November 6, which is 2:00 a.m. on Friday in Argentina, on all platforms at once.
The Hajin Conflict launch trailer is already on Call of Duty’s official channel and, according to the press, uses the track “Haegeum” by Agust D, the singer known as Suga of BTS. If your console is from the previous generation and Warzone was your everyday game, it is worth checking in advance which platform you will use. At MBTECNIC, with a PS5 or an Xbox Series, what matters is that your controller and console are in good shape for the new season.
