Control Resonant tripled Remedy's revenue and is its fastest-selling game ever
In short: The Finnish studio's quarterly report shows revenue of €39.6 million, up 226% year on year, and its first operating profit in a long time.

Remedy Entertainment, the Finnish studio behind Alan Wake and Control, published its Q3 2026 report today, and the numbers speak for themselves: Control Resonant, released on September 24 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, gave it the best start in its history.
The quarter in numbers
Between July and September, Remedy brought in €39.6 million, compared with €12.2 million in the same period of 2025: a 226% jump. It also went from a €16.4 million operating loss to a €0.6 million profit.
Almost all of it came from the game: €35.3 million in sales and royalties, which include pre-orders and only the first seven days on sale. The rest of the launch will show up in the next report.
One million copies in three weeks

On October 15, the day the physical edition came out, Control Resonant passed one million copies sold worldwide. It is the fastest-selling game in the studio's history, ahead of Alan Wake 2 and the original Control. It holds an 83 on Metacritic, an 8.8 user score and 91% positive reviews on Steam.
Who is playing it
The United States is the biggest market, with almost half of all sales. On PC it is followed by Chinese-speaking regions and the UK; on consoles by the UK and Canada, and Brazil makes the top three in console units. Close to half of the players had never played a Control game, and 2.4 million people still have it on their wishlist.
Remedy also highlighted how well the game scales across PCs of different power thanks to its in-house Northlight engine. Meanwhile, the Max Payne 1 and 2 remake it is making with Rockstar Games remains in full production.
