PlayStation unveils the Prism Collection: transparent DualSense controllers and PS5 covers
Sony showed three transparent designs, orange, green and gray, for the DualSense and PS5 covers. Pre-orders open on November 10 and the collection launches on February 4, 2027.

On October 28, 2026, PlayStation introduced the Prism Collection: three transparent designs for DualSense controllers and PS5 console covers. They are Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray, all with a glossy finish that lets you see inside.
What the Prism Collection includes
The collection has two types of products, always in the same three colors: the DualSense wireless controller and the console covers that give the PS5 a new look. According to Sony, the idea came from its design teams' interest in showing the console and the controller in a new way and revealing the work behind each piece.
Orange, green and gray
Flare Orange is the boldest: an intense orange that turns slightly rosy where the transparent material overlaps. Emerald Green is a deep green that gains depth through transparency, and Graphite Gray is a cool, sober gray. All three have a premium sheen, and the metallic middle cover ties the whole design together.

The return of transparent controllers
The designers said they wanted to bring back the see-through controller trend of the late 1990s, but in a modern way that matches the PS5's industrial design. The clear plastic also covers the back of the controller, so you can glimpse some of the technology inside.
When it launches
The collection launches starting February 4, 2027. Pre-orders begin on November 10, 2026 on PlayStation's direct store, where available, and at participating retailers; the exact date and availability may vary by country. The console covers are sold mainly through PlayStation's store and, in other regions, in limited quantities.
At MBTECNIC we repair PS4 and PS5 controllers every day. With a transparent shell the inside is on display, so care and cleaning matter more: if your controller has drift or failing buttons, we check it at the workshop.
