Sony delays PlayStation's Pulse Elevate speakers indefinitely, less than a week before launch
In short: A "production issue" found in quality testing halts the wireless speakers that were due on November 12.

Sony has delayed Pulse Elevate, its first wireless speakers for desktop gaming, indefinitely, less than a week before the planned launch. The notice came on November 6 as an update to the original announcement on the PlayStation Blog.
What Sony said
Quality testing turned up a "production issue" and the company decided to postpone the launch so the product delivers the intended experience. There is no new date yet. Sony apologised and said it looks forward to bringing the speakers to players "soon".
What we know about the product

The speakers were due worldwide on November 12, with pre-orders open since September. They cost £199.99 or $219.99. They connect to PS5, PC, Mac and PlayStation Portal via PlayStation Link, and can pair with a phone over Bluetooth at the same time. The right speaker has a microphone with AI-enhanced noise rejection. Black was planned for every market and white for only a few countries.
What happens to pre-orders
It is not yet clear what happens to existing orders. If you pre-ordered a pair, check the email from the store where you bought them.
Sony revealed Pulse Elevate in September 2025, alongside the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore earbuds.
