NVIDIA pulled the GeForce RTX 5080 from its store, just like the RTX 5090 days earlier
The card's page and filters vanished from the official store; NVIDIA has not confirmed a discontinuation.

NVIDIA's online store stopped listing the GeForce RTX 5080, just as it had done with the RTX 5090 a few days earlier. According to Tom's Hardware, both the product page and the filters for the card disappeared, and in U.S. stores its price is already more than double the launch price, with little stock left.
What exactly happened
A card missing from the store does not mean NVIDIA has discontinued it, and the company has not confirmed that. What stands out is that the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 are still listed, marked out of stock: NVIDIA usually keeps sold-out cards visible so people can wait for restocks.
Why AI is part of the talk
Rumors say NVIDIA may have stopped the RTX 5090 to use that chip (GB202) in its RTX Pro Blackwell cards, which are for professional and AI work and far more profitable. It is a rumor: the company has not confirmed it.
The 24 GB RTX 5080
There is also talk of an RTX 5080 with 24 GB of memory as the new top gaming card. It would fix the most common complaint about the current one, which has 16 GB, but it has half the CUDA cores of the RTX 5090, so it would not replace it in performance. It is not confirmed either.
The RTX 5080 launched in January last year and demand has outpaced supply from the start. On top of that, the memory shortage in the market has pushed graphics card prices up.
