Your controller won’t charge? Charging port and battery
You plug it in and the light doesn’t come on, it only charges if you move the cable or it drains right away. It is usually the charging port or the battery, and both can be replaced.
Why the controller won’t charge
The charging port comes loose or breaks from plugging it in so often and playing with the cable attached. It may also be the cable or a worn battery that no longer holds a charge.
What to try first
Try another cable and another USB port, and gently clean the charging port. With our controller test you can see the battery level with the controller connected to a PC.
Charging port and battery replacement
We check the port, the charging board and the battery, and replace whatever is damaged. We work on the PS4 DualShock 4 and the PS5 DualSense. See the controller repair and, if it also moves by itself, the drift repair.

How long does a controller battery last?
It depends on use: over the years it loses capacity and the controller lasts less and less. When that happens, the battery is replaced.
My controller only charges if I move the cable, what is wrong?
That is the typical sign of a loose or broken charging port. It is best to replace it before it damages the board.
Does the diagnosis cost anything?
No: the diagnosis is free, except for “won’t turn on”, power supply or processor reballing faults, which require working on the board. In those cases we give you a quote before starting.
What warranty does the repair have?
1 month on maintenance and 3 months on micro-electronics and board repairs. If the same fault comes back, it is fixed free of charge.

At Pedernera 360, Flores, City of Buenos Aires. Open Monday to Friday 10 am–6 pm and Saturdays 9 am–3 pm.
