Your controller moves by itself? Drift repair
The character walks by itself, the camera turns without you touching anything or the aim drifts to one side. That is drift, and it can be fixed.
What drift is and why it happens
Under each stick there is an analog module with potentiometers that wear out with use, dust or a knock. When they wear out, the controller sends movement even if you don’t touch the stick.
Test it for free before bringing it in
Connect the controller to a PC or phone and use our controller test: if the axes move without touching the stick, it has drift. It also shows the battery and every button.
How we fix it
We replace the damaged analog module, calibrate it and test it. We work on the PS4 DualShock 4 and the PS5 DualSense. See everything about the controller repair and, if it also won’t charge, the controller that won’t charge.
How we work
The workshop is at Pedernera 360, Flores, Buenos Aires. We check the device, explain what is wrong and what the fix is before starting. The warranty is 1 month on maintenance and 3 months on board repairs. If the same fault comes back, we fix it free of charge. To get started, message us with the model and the fault.
Frequently asked questions
Can drift be fixed by cleaning the stick?
Sometimes it improves for a while, but if the potentiometer is worn, it comes back. Replacing the analog module is what fixes it.
Do you fix Xbox controllers with drift?
Yes: besides PS4 and PS5 controllers, we repair Xbox One and Xbox Series controllers.
Does the diagnosis cost anything?
No: the diagnosis is free, except for “won’t turn on”, power supply or processor reballing faults, which require working on the board. In those cases we give you a quote before starting.
What warranty does the repair have?
1 month on maintenance and 3 months on micro-electronics and board repairs. If the same fault comes back, it is fixed free of charge.
Where is the workshop?
At Pedernera 360, Flores, City of Buenos Aires. Open Monday to Friday 10 am–6 pm and Saturdays 9 am–3 pm.
